New Year + Old Vision = No Change

So I am back from my 2 week vacation abroad with hubby. šŸŒ“ šŸ–ļø šŸ˜Ž I hope everyone has had a wonderful start to the New Year thus far.

For me it's been good... But if I am being honest a little stressful. I have so many project ideas I am trying to roll out and feelings bogged down by the logistics. And God is continuing to stretch my faith in specific areas and I can be a little stubborn and fight God about it all. But yes, I am know it is all for my good, so Jesus and I are hanging tight. šŸ¤

So as I was sitting before the Lord this weekend talking to Him about my emotional state, I found myself in Genesis reading about Abraham.

Here is what I read in Genesis 18:17-18 (AMPC)

And the Lord said, Shall I hide from Abraham [My friend and servant] what I am going to do, Since Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed through him and shall bless themselves by him And it made me think... okay šŸ¤”šŸ¤”. So, I know God called Abraham friend because

"Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness, and he was called Godā€™s friend." But at this point in scripture Issac wasn't even conceived. And also Abraham believed God so little that he slept with Hagar. And that also hadn't even happened yet.

So hold up, Jesus! Pump the breaks!

How is Abraham called friend at this point?!

What God told me is,

I am a visionary. I don't look at the here and now and make a decision. I perceive and look at what is to come and declare that in your "here and now."

What if we did the same? What if we stopped calling ourselves failure? What if we stopped saying my marriage is broken beyond repair? What if we looked at ourselves and say a successful CEO, a wife or husband, a mother or father, a whole and healthy woman or man?

God looked at Abraham and saw The Father of Faith and not the man who had so little faith he slept with Hagar.

What do you see for your 2022?
